When the coronavirus pandemic hit the United States in March, White House officials’ hopes seemed high that summer would stem the tide of COVID-19. During an April 24 White House coronavirus task force briefing, William Bryan, the acting undersecretary for science and technology at the Department of Homeland Security, touted “emerging evidence” that reportedly showed SARS-CoV-2 would die more quickly in the presence of sunlight and humidity.Scientists were dubious that this would have a major effect, pointing to countries with already-warm weather that were then experiencing outbreaks. Now mid-July, with over 3.4 million U.S. cases and record-breaking daily cases in some of the warmest states, scientists are realizing their predictions were right — and are shining a light on what the officials may have missed.

Rachel Baker, a postdoctorate fellow at the Princeton Environmental Institute, was one of three authors of a study published May 15 in the journal Science on how SARS-CoV-2 — the virus that causes COVID-19 — may be affected by climate. In it, she and her colleagues concluded that summer was unlikely to have a major effect on the spread of COVID-19. Their findings did not inherently contradict Bryan’s; they too found that the virus may be weakened by sunlight and warmth. But their research contained a pivotal missing piece: that a virus with zero immunity is more powerful than both.

This is wrong. The RX Covid expert Lil Mobbie who claims to never have been wrong about anything on this subject, claimed that the sunlight would kill it.

Wrong. It continues to spread because people are going inside and using air conditioner to get away from the heat.

You are safe from the virus outside.

Because no virus no matter the name can be killed. Thru all of time. In furtherance they go dormant this time of year in this hemisphere. There is a reason why we have a cold and flu season vs colds and flu's all the time. It comes down to a thing called expand and burst. The atsmopheric pressure in this hemisphere is to high for expansion and there is not near enough moisture close enough to the ground for the burst to occur. Nevada and in particular Las Vegas are the biggest promoters of the Phantom 19 menance. The latest being almost 800 people a day tested positive the last 7 days. Ok sure. When its not flu season in the US it is some place else all of which people have come from wheever all this time with out a problem with whatever they bring with them, PLUS, WHAT EVER WAS GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME. There is a reason for that!!!

The numbers being reported now blow out anything reported this century ANY TIME OF YEAR.

The moral of the story is that its the same for the other Phantom 19 spots. Most which are sexy places people want to go to at that. That never had a problem in the summer season.

Stop falling for it.

80%+ of Covid ICU patients have had deficiencies in vitamin D. That report was a couple weeks ago. The number probably has gone up.

Begs me to ask the question.....how is it even possible to have lack of the D vitamin in the summer months???

In blistering hot Thailand they are not counting on the heat to kill the virus:

Awesome . So I guess we don’t have to look forward to your threads about the next wave in January since weather has no effect on the virus
